To1ne | 31 maj 2007 07:45 | @ Matty tha thug: It's a bug I think. In the list is just another level added, but it is the same level (and ID). So every change will be in every level.
Solution, close you browser en open again, the 'clone' levels will be gone. If you want to make a "back-up" of your level, you always can use "export"... @muh2: I did it like in the level "Buttons": (explaination from Asforian) Go to internal and shift the node to one end of the capsule, then go to path and add a second node which causes it to change angle. After that, just anim group it with a blue capsule. So I've put the capsules far out of the screen, the node in "Internal" in the middle between it's current position and where it should been. Added a node with a 180degree rotation and made a "Anim group" with an other blue capsule out of the screen. A yellow capsule with gravity takes them all, one by one! |

Example: You start creating a new level (ID=200), but you can't complete it, and it takes 2 weeks to complete and accept it. In mean while some new levels (ID=201 to 210) are created by others and accepted. They will be in the beginning, after those your level comes. Maybe sort on "Accept-date" (if it exist) No fans of "Drag me through"??? I thought it would be fun...? |

Sort on "Accept-date" is a good idea as well about "Drag me through" i have not found the patience to play that level.... i think it is a hard level the green capsule moves a lot and a mistake is easy made so you have to start over... Camstudio didn't work on my PC, or when it did, Youtube didn't accept the file-format... @Xman: Did you really need to hack it! Gonna Edit it right away! I've beat you with 290. And it's a "real" honest score! A little hint, If you want to change direction, center your mouse on the yellow capsule before you start moving! |

I did not need to hack it but it's only right to tell if something is wrong. to play it at the normal way... stil not find the patience to play it.... Still making new scores....... there are less the 100 points more to make... |

If not I suggest you're score on a level should be deleted when you edit it! People could cheat with that trick! There JP a new Bonus Level 25 (Tribute) whitout a cheat score! |

Maybe say an orange capsule, which needs to be cleared like the blue capsule, but can only be collected by a red capsule. A yellow/orange flicker capsule could also be created. Another possible idea: white capsules could be created such that when a capsule is touching it, something is activated, but when the capsule is removed the white capsule gets deactivated again. Just some ideas :X Not sure if they are possible to program.. |

A little trick: If you are creating a level, and you have to stop for some reason (and work on it later again). Press "Export" in the editor, copy all text and save it in a TXT-file locally on your computer. When you want to work on the level again, just open the editor press "Export", Paste the text and "Import". The complete level should be there (I think??? JP??) |

Maybe I should close the level cration after this number ? Adding again a new kind of capsule would be fun but it would make the rules more complex for new players. It should be something simple, bringing many new possibilities. Actually, IMO, the best thing is to create a new game . To1ne don't worry I'm working on a couple of projects to accupy your spare time . Of course I would to go faster, but it's not my main job | |||

You made the "Crazy Mammoths" game, it's fun, but gets bored "fast" (compared to Capsules). About creating levels, I think you shouldn't close the creating levels part, because if new players want to try it (just for fun) the could. The only downside is someone should accept/discard the new levels... |

flappy j | 10 czerwiec 2007 13:49 | Jp, I don't think you should close the level creating, because that makes the possibilities of the game endless, but I think every level made should be able to be played by everyone, and if it is good enough it becomes official (see www.blockaction.net), and perhaps people who didn't create the level if they thought it was good they could give a comment or rating.
I do agree with you about another capsule will make the game too complex for new players, but maybe you could copy the game to make another one exactly the same but with an extra capsule, like an advanced version (that might be stupid idea but I know nothing about this kind of stuff) |
